Event Description:
Downtown Bird Bash is a family friendly event for everyone from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Fly with the Garner Area Historical Society, Downtown Garner Association and the Children's Entrepreneur Market for some birding fun.
The Garner Area Historical Association will be sponsoring a Youth Birdhouse Competition where youth ages 8-18 can compete in their age category with a birdhouse entry that involves a historical twist. Cash prizes will be awarded. Information and applications are available at www.garner-area-historical-society.org, under Bird House Competition. 
Children ages 3-7 can Paint-A-Feeder at 10:30 in the Rec Center Art room. Cost is $5.00 and covers all materials. Registration is on-line.
The Children's Entrepreneur Market will have 40 youth vendors selling their ware inside and out side of the Garner Recreation Center. Additional support by Audubon North Carolina.
Downtown Garner Bird Scavenger Hunt will take place on and in Main Street businesses. 
Various Downtown Garner businesses will have special birdy food, drinks or vendors for your flock to enjoy.

The Downtown Bird Bash will take place at the Recreation Center on Main Street and in businesses along Main Street in Garner, NC.

Fees/Admission:
The event is free and open to the public.

Entry fees are charged for the birdhouse competition, ages 8-18 at $5.00 for museum members and $10.00 for non-members and the Paint-A-Feeder class for ages 3-7 for $5.00.
